Mother Deer give birth to 2 playful fawns – GOT MILK…?

Sometimes the great shots are right under your nose in the backyard! Getting the best landscape shot frequently means getting up before dawn, hoping the weather cooperates. Ditto at sunset – there are lots of variables that can challenge your creativity. But every once in a while, if you’re ready for the shot it might be right under your nose! And even the neighborhood cat is there to be part of the welcoming party 🙂

Update: This was captured in the spring of 2014 in our backyard.  The deer had been coming and going for several years before this.  Initially when a section of our fence had fallen over we opted not to fix it so the deer could come in and enjoy the tall grass.  Needless to say they also enjoyed our plants, flowers and vegetables.   We brought adopted Kaliki (our Siberian Husky) in August of 2015 and at that time we had to fix the fence.  In some ways it was bitter sweet as we received a lot of enjoyment watching the deer interaction, love and bond with each other.  We still smile when we see them in the neighborhood.

Thank you for watching our show and we look forward to hearing from you!
