Wow, this has to be our favorite campground so far on our “90 Day Around America.” As you’d expect in a National Forest, the 40 site campground only has the basics – running water and restrooms (no showers). But the hiking trails and views are definitely breathtaking and well worth the 20 mile drive from Elko, Nevada.

Video 3 of our Series, Around the USA in 90 Days!
While passing through Reno, Nevada, nearby Scheels Sporting Goods store has fantastic natural life animal displays – some reaching up like a real mountain with hundreds of taxidermy wildlife portrayed in their habitat. So needless to say, if you are looking to buy anything outdoor and sporting goods related, look for it at Scheels – or at least enjoy a wonderful site-seeing experience…but don’t be surprised if you wind up spending more here than the nearby Casinos!

As we head out of the Reno/Sparks area of Nevada, we soon come across Mustang … but we came in hopes to see wild horses (not the legendary Mustang Ranch). Of course, life happens while you’re making other plans and our trip is interrupted by a RV mishap when we pull off the road. But as the saying goes, bad decisions often make good stories… cTvFun,com

WOW, while most first think of Lake Tahoe being associated with the Sierra Mountains, we were pleasantly surprised to discover the beauties of nearby Donner Lake – right by the Interstate 80 Freeway! Come along with us as we ride our eBikes around Donner Lake (drone video, too) and ride through nearby Truckee.
