Better yet, for hikers and bike riders Presque Isle has a full forest tree cover to provide shelter with the typical winds of the Great Lake Erie. Along the path are sites of nearby Erie &#8211; no wonder with Presque&#8217;s protection the seaport was chosen by settlers hundreds of years ago.
