How to Get Into Our National Capitol Without Your RV by using Washington MTA and Uber. While travelling South from Maryland (pre COVID-19 days Sept 28th 2019), we decided to spend a day in Washington, D.C. So during the end of hot summer days, we checked into the Washington DC / Capitol KOA located in Millerville where or Siberian Husky could enjoy our A/C hookup to say cool. We took an Uber ride from the KOA to the New Carlton where we pickup up the Metro Sub and go into the Washington DC Capitol.

Then over to Blythe Oasis RV Park as the sun set, with morning drone video over the Colorado River before heading into Quartzsite for the Escapees Xscapers Bash 2018 for fun and games. Stay tuned..

Coit Tower Suspense, San Francisco Views, Murals, Money & Mystery

Coit Tower – a monument filled with suspense. From any perspective it’s a beautiful view of San Francisco and a must for tourists and sightseers. Lillie Hitchcock Coit led a fascinating life in challenging times. And while her parents and husband were wealthy, at a young age she experienced the ravages of a fire that almost took her life. This led Lillie to be a lifelong champion of firefighters, who also bonded with her and let her accompany them on fire calls and attend their parades. After her husband’s long illness and demise, Lillie distant cousin and business advisor tried to take her life, instead leading to the demise of the man trying to defend her. Yet in her later years when she moved to Europe to avoid the impression of a scandal and the Great Depression hit hard, she thoughtfully bequest 1/3 of her estate to beautify the City she loved. But wait, there’s more shenanigans and skulduggery with the City of San Francisco so tune in for “the rest of the story!”

Cruising San Francisco, Palace Fine Arts, Pier 39 Fishermans Wharf

Completing our Panama Canal cruise we come back home into San Francisco bay in the wee hours of the morning.  The ship sails under the Golden Gate Bridge as the full moon is setting providing us with a sense of awe.  Our episode continues with the Palace of Fine Arts, Pier 39 Fishermans Wharf and lots of “segues” (sic) along the way!
