cTv, Pacific Ocean playing at Point Lobos and New Brighton State Beach

Completing our first year anniversary trip, Grace, Michael and our Siberian Husky Kaliki spend an afternoon at Gibson Beach and Pelican Point at Point Lobos State Beach (sadly, dogs are not allowed on trails and there is no overnight RV accommodations). We then scooted up North for an hour passing Monterey to New Brighton State Beach Campground again blessed with more awesome views of the Pacific Ocean. But Kaliki did get to play in the Pacific Ocean at Carmel Beach just north of Point Lobos!
We look forward to hearing from you as we continue our California Travel Videos so don’t delay, SUBSCRIBE TODAY!!!

cTv RV Life, Highlights Cannery Row at Monterey Bay & Monarch Butterflies

We’re meandering down the main street of Cannery Row at Monterey Bay, enjoying the food, shops and Kaliki running in the beautiful Pacific Ocean beach.  Later, we head through the 17 Mile Drive at Pebble Beach in Pacific Grove so Grace can checkout the Monarch Butterflies.

cTv RV Life, Russian River canoe water fight at Casini Ranch – flip time?

Canoeing on the Russian River in the Autumn with our Siberian Husky – now what could be better than that? But wobbling and water fights could cost us losing our camera gear! No matter, when you are staying at the beautiful Casini Ranch, be sure to rent one of their canoes (or kayak, paddleboard inner tube, etc). And Casini is certainly the “disneyland” for campers and RVers alike with movie nights, ice cream socials, hayrides, nearby hiking trails, beach swimming, playgrounds (soccer, softball, volleyball, horseshoe throwing), rent pedal carts/golf carts/bikes, game room with arcades and pool table, general store, dog run/play area, etc. Their WiFi is average.
By the way, the Casini staff is very helpful and friendly.

Korbel Champagne Cellars

This time we’re heading West of Santa Rosa on Russian River.  Our first stop was the awesome Korbel vineyards where they make fine wines, brandy, California champagne and brews.  On our second stop we drop by the cool Armstrong Grove State Park, just South from the city of Guerneville.  Check out the next segment where we stay at Casini Ranch and canoe down the Russian River.

cTv, Point Arena Lighthouse Saving Lives at Sea

Numerous shipwrecks occurred one-half mile offshore due to a sneaky reef 6 feet under the water. The Point Arena lighthouse was damaged by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, rebuilt to 115 feet tall and was renovated for its 100th anniversary. The prize 12,000 pound 6 foot tall freznel lens features a unique triple set of double bullseye lens, valued at over $3,500,000 dollars. The beam proudly shot out 20+ miles while the new double 1,000 watt LEDs are limited to one short burst every 15 seconds at a more meger 16 miles. Be sure to visit the gift store and checkout the webcam views here:

cTv, Photos and Foul Ups at Bowling Ball Beach

cTv finds taking great photos at Bowling Ball Beach can be a blessing… or a real challenge if the proverbial stars are not in the optimum position (sun and moon/tide, that is).  Then there is the rope ladder to navigate unless you elect to go the long way – the Schooner Gulch south route.  On our first summertime evening, being 90 minutes after low tide was too late and most all of the boulders were under water.  Trying again the next early morning, this time while the boulders were fully exposed, the morning sun was hiding behind the cliffs for almost two hours.  Lucky/well prepared photographers will be blessed with the perfect photos with the concretion boulders partially emerged during the golden or blue hour – GOOD LUCK AND MAY THE ODDS BE FOREVER IN YOUR FAVOR 🙂

cTv, At Point Arena wonder dog Kaliki goes for it… (aka DIRTY DOG!)

Prior to owning our RV, we traveled North to Point Arena to enjoy the rural ocean scenery with our Siberian Husky, Kaliki, who discovered formidable burrowing gopher holes.  We all got our money’s worth going down to the Greenwood State Beach  in the sleepy city of Elk.  Next we will check out Bowling Ball Beach and the Point Arena Lighthouse.

cTv Drone Flyover, Point Reyes Station, Charming Tourist Destination

With some drone shots from above, we enjoy a midday stop-shop-and-lunch at rural tourist destination Point Reyes Station where Prince Charles and Camilla visited on their honeymoon tour.  When you’re in the area of the Point Reyes National Seashore and Samuel P Taylor redwoods, this charming city is a fun place to checkout their shops and have a delicious meal with cool nearby ocean temperatures. Autos, campers and the RVers in the area can also “fill ‘er up” if they don’t mind the premium prices.

cTv, Puppet Show – RV Drive to Drakes Beach, Point Reyes National Seashore

Before going to the redwoods at Samuel P Taylor State Park, we head West in our RV to Drakes Bay in the splendid Point Reyes National Seashore. Historically speaking, Sir Francis Drake championed England’s effort to find riches in the Pacific.  Fortunately at the end of summer, our weather temperatures are perfect and the wind was almost nil.  Too bad we can’t fly our drone to share some aerial footage but the National Parks prohibit flight even if no one is around.  We will have some drone flight in the next episode while we visit the city of Point Reyes, one of the honeymoon stops for Prince Charles and Camilla.
