Lake Havasu, Arizona – 2020 Hot Air Balloon Festival

While winds prevented most hot air balloons from taking flight on Saturday 1/11, on the 12th, several dozen balloon crews took to the skies on Sunday with spectacular weather over Lake Havasu, Arizona. Whether shooting video from the London Bridge where the hot air balloons get up close and personal, the channel channel waterway, downtown or near the Crazy Horse RV park, the views were fantastic! We also have some footage of the local colorful post-holiday nightlife.

XScapersBash2020 – Day 1 and Day 2, Lake Havasu, Arizona

As always, we love to start off the new year going to Arizona and having a FUN-TASTIC time with “800 of our BEST friends” in Arizona at the XScapersBash2020 convergence!!!” This year we rendezvous in Lake Havasu coincident with their awesome annual Hot Air Balloon Festival with spectacular weather fitting for all snowbirds. Of course when the XScapers subgroup within the Escapees clan get together with hundreds of RVers, having rules are important and our number one motto is: WE ARE INCLUSIVE – EVERYONE IS OUR FRIEND!

cTv RV Life, Quartzsite or bust, SF to Bakersfield & Buckskin Mountain AZ

Finally, it’s time to descend on the Quartzsite RV rally and meet mega-friends!  We left the Bay Area rain on day 1 with drizzle on our tail as we pulled in to Bakersfield with 3 other rigs in our caravan.  Better weather on day 2 going over Tehachapi Pass, across the Mohave Desert and Colorado River, into Lake Havasu’s “London Bridge,” spending the night at Buckskin Mountain State Park in sunny Arizona.  With only 60 miles to go, tomorrow we’ll get up early for some awesome sunrise pictures before descending into Quartzsite – can’t wait!
